Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED Training

CPR, AED use and choking response — adult or paediatric format.

Course Overview

Our Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED course provides learners with the essential life-saving skills needed to respond confidently during a medical emergency.

This practical, hands-on course teaches participants how to recognise cardiac arrest, perform effective CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), place a casualty into the recovery position and manage choking emergencies. Learners will gain the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and safely while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical services.

The course is available in both Adult and Paediatric formats, making it suitable for workplaces, healthcare professionals, schools, nurseries, childcare providers, sports organisations and anyone responsible for the care of children or adults.

As standard, these Adult and Paediatric courses include training on the recognition and management of severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.

Certification

Successful learners receive a FAIB-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED certificate including Anaphylaxis training, valid for 1 year.

This course provides 3.75 hours of verifiable CPD and is suitable for healthcare professionals and other learners requiring annual BLS updates.

Certificates are issued following successful completion of practical assessment.
